After the events of Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, aka the Penguin, creates a show to take over the reins of crime in Gotham. Aside from the Bat-signal in the final shot of the season finale, we never got a glimpse of Robert Pattinson in the Penguin movie. In this short video, IMDb attempts to answer: Where the hell was Batman? According to series creator Lauren LeFranci, Batman will not appear on the show. “I understand why people would want to have Batman or think that if Batman isn’t in the show or the movie, it won’t have the same impact. I think it’s different. The movies are seen through the lens of Batman, so you’re high up, looking down on the city. Gotham Alley Falling and the Logo Change to The Graham Norton Show: Lady Gaga/Demi Moore/Richard Ayoade/Jack Savoretti I’ve been waiting for The Penguin since it was first announced that he would be on the show, and I can say that it’s every bit as good as I expected it to be, with Colin Farrell being great as Oz Cobb, aka The Penguin, and better yet, the lead role. Cristin Milioti is equally as good as Sofia Falcone. The two of them battle it out to see who Gotham’s number one gangster is and “bring order to all the chaos.” Some people were worried that a side character like The Penguin wouldn’t be able to make the show work and wouldn’t work without Batman or Bruce Wayne, but fear not, because this is more than just a villain in a superhero franchise, it’s a great crime drama in its own right. It’s a gritty, violent crime drama that’s a lot of fun to watch. Hopefully we’ll get more stories like this from this world.
