The first episode was better than the trailer
It’s a quiet and lonely show, as (almost!) everyone except the main character has died from the epidemic, but it uses this silence to ask valuable existential questions about loneliness, whether you should try to live when everyone you love is dead, hopefully, and how to proceed. There is a famous book with this title/theme and we will see how well this series complements and parallels that novel.
The first episode is good enough to make you want to watch it more
It has a sense of desolation and despair like The Walking Dead, but without the zombies, instead a personal struggle for survival in a vastly changed world. "One Hundred Years of Solitude" is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
