Scenario
CIA operative Joe tries to balance his personal and professional lives as the spearhead of the agency’s war on terror. Real-life military advisors helped produce more authentic weapon handling, house clearance, location and group-based action, etc.
This is a step too far, though
I’m a Yellowstone & most of Taylor Sheridan’s work. Now obviously things have to go wrong to develop the plot, but wow!
This group of supposed special agents are incompetent
They make a mockery of every move they make. From the opening scene where the rebels are allowed to attack before they realize they’re the bad guys, to the ridiculous decision to use an unpleasant, miserable woman (the main character) to befriend a target at a lively party.
And that’s right
I’d happily go along if it weren’t for the fact that this thing should be taken seriously. Others here have already stated that the main character is painted as some kind of supergirl.
She’s like a terminator!
My biggest problem, though, is that she’s really unpleasant.
